I bought this Western Red Cedar cladding before COVID, so it sat under a tarp, under the hedge for 4 years before it got put on the walls, which meant it was a bit tatty, but I like the charm. Western Red Cedar is quite resistant to rotting, so this should protect the bales for years to come. It also fades with weathering, but the overhang of the roof is so large that there’s not much chance of that.
